Gorgeous Stays, envisioned and created by the mother-daughter team, Helene and Micaela, opened their Vacation Retreat in August of 2018. It was built over a madcap seven-month time frame. Transformed from a primitive campground and old rafting outfitter’s check-in center, it has become a fun and inviting rustic-modern lodge and “Glamping” Retreat. It’s a place you can relax, let your kids run, enjoy the magic of Glamping, and still be close to plenty of fun outdoors adventures of your choosing.

The “Gorgeous Gals” were inspired by the tiny house movement and the adventure of the great outdoors. They like to call “Gorgeous Stays” a “Glampground.” Each of the individually themed Tiny Houses and Glamping Tents were carefully crafted for comfort and uniqueness. Gorgeous Stays is a small retreat, so you'll never be overwhelmed by crowds. Plus, all the

work has been done for you! Amenities are in each house and tent to make your stay easy and fun: linens, towels, pillows, gel memory-foam mattresses, coffeemaker, microwave, mini-fridge, sink, water and RV toilet. Showers are in the Lodge.

Gorgeous Stays is built on 6 .75 acres. It has parking by each accommodation, places to relax by the stream, games for sunny or rainy days and friendship. Community fire pits, a food pavilion and propane grills make the evenings relaxing. Guests can gaze at the stars and listen to the stream that meanders through the property or join other up at the Lodge for comradery, conversation or games. Gorgeous Stays is super easy to find on US Hwy 19 West in the Nantahala Gorge, 12 miles west of Bryson City. It is conveniently located within 2 miles of 4 rafting companies, 2 ziplines, a ropes Adventure Park. the Appalachian Trail and the Nantahala River (best fly-fishing river in the Southeast). Tsali National Forest (well-known for mountain biking), the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail-of-the-dragon (Hwy 129 for motorcycle enthusiasts) and The Great Smokey Mountain Railway, are all less than an hour
away. So the location couldn’t be better!
